i downloaded tar-1.11.1.Z from MIT and tried to compile it. i need to use the "tar rvf" option which is missing from the next tar. can someone tell me if tar-1.11.1.Z is gnutar and what kind of gynastics i have to go through to compile it? i've noticed on 3.0 the c include files are in /usr/include/ansi but can't seem to get the configure program or the make program to realize this. joe. -- ============================================================== ! joe alotta jja@fnbc.com ! !
