How do you get the better print panel?

I've added print capability to a text object by sending it a printPSCode
message.  But it doesn't give the nicer print panel which allows you to
select whether you want the whole text printed, just the visible part,
or the selected portion.  How is that done?  I tried sending 
smartPrintPSCode to the window, but I got the same panel.
