I've just finished the Scribble IB tutorial in Bruce Webster's 'The NeXT Book'. Pretty cool! But I wanted to learn how to add printing, so I tried adding another menu cell, labeled it 'Print', and connected it to the PaintView object (which is the window you 'scribble' in) by the method printPSCode. Sure enough, 'Print' worked, but the only thing that prints is the background-- not any of the 'scribbling'. Can anyone tell me what's missing? The application includes new versions of the methods newFrame (which now also sets variables for pen width, pen color, and background color in the PaintView), drawSelf (which fills the PaintView object), and mouseDown (which now draws in the PaintView object as long as the mouse is down).
