Command line access to Websters 3.0

Under 2.0 I used Jiro Nakamura's Define program to define words in
Websters from the command line.

Under 3.0, it looks like the calls Jiro uses (i.e. openReference) have
gone away. Have they been replaced by something or has NeXT intentionally
removed command line
access to references?

Jeff -
I've been trying to patch define but with no success. It hasn't helped that my Websters has someone been corrupted as well.... It seems that NeXT chose not to document the calls necessary for programmatic access to Websters and I chose to save my $$$ by not ask_nexting them.
