In IB under 2.x we could sellect an object and hit Command-5 to get the inspector to show what the object was. Has anyone figured out how to do this in 3.0 yet? Bill Dudney dudney@pencom.com

There used to be a "Miscellaneous" Inspector subpanel in the 2.1 IB which allowed the size to be specified and also the name of the object. In your app, you could then locate an object using its owner and name. The concept of a name is obviously still there since I've converted some 2.1 .nib files to 3.0 format and can still locate the objects within them, but the 3.0 IB doesn't appear to let you name the objects any more. Somewhat frustrating... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- David Quarrie CEBAF MS 12H 12000 Jefferson Ave Internet: quarrie@cebaf.gov Newport News VA 23606 DECnet : cebaf::quarrie Tel: (804) 249-7562 BITNET : quarrie@cebaf Fax: (804) 249-7363
