Sigh.

I'm sorry to say it, but I'm starting to be pretty disappointed 
by the localization, or rather the lack thereof, in 3.0.

In DL's inspector panel (target->inspector), they have had the
decency to put a "Language" inspector, which recognizes that
you might want to index stuff in other languages than your
main language. This is nice. *But*, it appears that you can't
use anything except english!! (ie the only language you are given
to choose from is english). "You can use *any* language you want, as
long as it's english." Just great.

The only things that seem to be localized in 3.0 are the
cosmetics. English online help only. English spell
checking only. English indexing only.  Isn't that what
localization is really all about? I mean, ultimately,
it's quite a bit more important to me to be able to
spell check my resume', than whether a button says
"Print" or "Imprimer".

Perhaps NeXT is hoping that some of these holes will be
filled by third party companies. But then NeXT shouldn't
try to pretend that it fully supports 7 different
languages with 3.0. I'll have to pay extra $$$ just to be
able to work in my own tongue. 

Localization: Yeah, right!

At least they're trying, I suppose. But I really had
hoped it would be much better than this.
