Calling it "evil," "foul," "virulent," and "obnoxious" only get people mad. A simple "I seem to be having problems with command-line editing on my NeXT running <os version>. I'm running tcsh <version>, from the binary I ftp'd from <host>" will do. People will be much more repsonsive to your problems. I can see why you would be ignored. I've never had this problem. I've tried to duplicate your problem on a NeXT running 2.0 and tcsh 6.00. I run tcsh normally on Sun's, and have been using 6.02 there and have never had a problem there, either. I suspect a terminal bug. What terminal are you using? (crossposting to comp.unix.shell instead of comp.sys.misc) --Dave -- System Administrator, Population Research Institute barr@pop.psu.edu
