Ivan Vesely writes > Come on, somebody out there besides me must like WordPerfect? Well, I like it for all its features, the same reason that I liked the PC version. And of course, its just about the standard so having the file-compatibility is great. Having said that, many things are really crummy (its handling of tabs has 'pride' of place here, IMHO) and some things are very annoying (there is no way to save graphics box defaults, eg, and the styles menu is very badly organized). Also it slows down tremendously as soon as you have a significant number of font/formatting changes. The bottom line is that yes, it does what I need it to do, and other available programs don't. So I keep using it. But I doubt WP will survive very long if their strategy remains one of 'people have nowhere else to go, so it doesn't matter what we ship.' -- - Stefano Pagiola Food Research Institute, Stanford University spagiola@leland.stanford.edu (NeXTMail encouraged)
