I have absolutely no doubt that copyright violation is a crime and that
it is theft of intellectual (or whatever) property. But that is where
the similarities between these written products stop. I just wanted to say
that I think we should be very careful applying old rules to new
products (in Switzerland, for example, the law treats software as
"buildings"... strange point of view... just because they couldn't
figure out how to see a value in abstract digital data... ;-))) the
matter is very serious though, because in some cases if the software did
not do *exactly* what the clients wanted (which is obviously rather
difficult to guarantee) they wouldn't have to pay for it, equally if it
was not done in time...try to do such a thing to the author of a book).
