i've had a slab (8mb, 105 disk) on my desk for almost two years now. aside from
mounting spool/mail /LocalApps and my home area from an HP, i really have not
looked towards giving the NeXTstation an extended file system.
i have 400 meg (not including users home areas) on the HP which i want
to dedicate to the NeXT on my desk, and the two new stations in my department.
some areas are pretty clear /NextDeveloper/Apps is completly empty, but
other areas not so clear. for example, it appears that NeXT removed 'pieces'
of /usr/lib and /usr/bin.
what is the best way to fill out these sparse areas? particularily since
i do not have a list of what the final system should contain (or a list of
what was removed to make the system fit on the 105 disk.
this problem has been addressed once by someone in the institute who
created a snakes nest of symlinks. this is not good.
thanks in advance.
