This is my first experience with configuring a machine to act as an anonymous FTP server. Consequently I am not quite sure what to expect. After some fooling around with syslog.conf I have gotten ftpd to log connections. I ended up adding the line daemon.info /usr/adm/daemon_log For some reason I was unable to get things to work by changing the entry in the /usr/adm/messages line to include daemon.info but I may not really understand what it takes to restart syslogd. My question now concerns how much information I can get ftpd to log. All I get now is a line indicating that a connection occurred from a particular machine. Is there any way to get the password used with anonymous to be logged? Is it possible to get a log of the commands executed? Thanks in Advance Steven Senger Please respond by email to senger@csfac.uwlax.edu
