Hi all! We got our 3.0 cube yesterday (all other machines are still running 2.1) and I noticed the following problem: If you try to mount the 3.0 machine's disk from a 2.1 host using the 'net' option, the 2.1 host will hang till rebooted, as soon as the mount directory in /Net is accessed the first time. If you try to mount manually (as opposed to mounting at startup) by saying 'mount -o net moolah:/ /Net' it will keep trying until interrupted by ^C. The export parameters are: / -access=fml,root=cabbage:moolah:ruble:wampum 'fml' is a netgroup containing the four NeXTs and a bunch of PCs. We are using pcnfsd (the one that comes with PC-NFS, not NeXT's) and NetInfo (not NIS). All the 2.1 machines are using the same mount and export parameters without any problems. Mounting the 2.1 hosts from the 3.0 host works too. Has anybody noticed something similar and found a fix?
