We have just recently received 2 NeXTs and I have been thrown the job of administrating with no real prior experience. So needless to say I have a couple questions. I've managed to get most things figured out but still see a couple things going on that don't make any sense. I would like to make a network-wide account. I have followed the procedures layed out in the documentation. Fine. The account's home directory first of all does not come up with the proper icon (just the folder not the house) and the owner of the home directory is not itself (I made it so the owner is dale not john as it should be). Any attempt to chown to the proper user name does not work (even as root). Am I just totally out to lunch or what? I apologize if this is a FAQ but I went through all the comp.sys.next.announce FAQs and couldn't find anything. If the answer is so obvious (which it may be) please tell me and if you need more info just email me and I'll be more complete. Thanks in advance.
