In article <5417@rosie.NeXT.COM> amm@NeXT.COM (Alan M. Marcum) writes: [interesting NetInfo tips deleted] One thing I've wondered is how can I change the NetInfo database of a clone if the master is down? For example, say I come in one day and find that my master machine has self-destructed. Since it might take several days to fix, I might like to make one of my clones be the master so I can add new users, etc. So I need to change master property via % niutil -createprop / / master "new_master"/network Unfortunately, you can't do this unless the "old_master" is alive. Is there a trick for doing this? -- Craig Artley cartley@mines.colorado.edu (303) 273-3557 Dept. of Geophysics, Colorado School of Mines, Golden, CO 80401
