SLIP problem

I have Louis Mamako's DialUp-IP running on a NeXTstation, and I can get it
to connect and login to the remote site. Before, I was getting the following
error all over the place in the console window:

Oct 13 15:49:44 whyanext mach: zs0: recv buffer overrun

But I think I solved that by fixing some flow control problems. The errors
are gone. NOW, I can't get telnet or any other packet requesting/generating
client to do anything over the link. If I telnet to the SLIP server site,
after a successful "./slipup", etc., it just sits there and the log files
show no sign of activity.

A few more tries (of telnet, ftp, finger, etc.), and then the line suddenly
drops.

I'm not sure what to look for to solve the problem. Any ideas?

Eric
