Isn't this documented in the release notes somewhere???  I seem to
remember reading about this somewhere or other...  Something about a
parent process not wait()'ing for a child to exit??

(But 300???  That seems a bit excessive, I only have a handful...  
Anyone else?)

P.S>  As a temporary fix, can you put /etc/reboot in cron to run every
day at, say, 5AM?  Or better yet, /etc/shutdown??
