Help needed: sendmail.cf for domains with uucp

Hello,

our NeXT Cube is the mailserver for the local net with Suns, PCs, ...
We use sendmail with a slightly modified sendmail.mailhost.cf.
The relay mailer was set to 'DMuucp' and our "domain" to 'uucp'.
So far this worked fine...

Now (better late than never :-) we want to convert to
our "real", registered domainname 'stardiv.de'.
('st@stardiv.de' sounds much better than 'st@starlab.uucp' :-)

- Is there any change to do this with NeXT OS 2.0?
- Is there any change to do this with the standard, binary "sendmail"
  only by modifying sendmail.cf?
- Is getting "smail" the right way (some days of installation,
  new maintenance programs, ...)?
- Is there a working sendmail?

THESE ARE MY QUESTIONS.

NOW THE THINGS I TRIED:

I modified the sendmail.cf in the following manner:
< DMsmartuucp
> DMuucp
relay mailer 'smartuucp'

< Dmstardiv.de
< CmStarDivision.DE starlab.de
our domainname (and aliases)

S22
R$*<@LOCAL>$* $:$1
R$-<@$->		$:$>3${Z$1@$2$}			invert aliases
R$*<@$+.$*>$* $@$1<@$2.$3>$4 already ok
R$+<@$+>$* $@$1<@$2.$m>$3 tack on our domain
> R$+ $@$1<@$j> tack on our hostname
< # next
< # R$+ $@$1<@$j> tack on our hostname
< # sun
< R$+ $@$1<@$m> tack on our domain
Modification to ruleset 22 from Sun's sendmail.cf.

< # "Smart" UUCP mailer: Uses UUCP transport but domain-style naming
< Msmartuucp, P=/usr/bin/uux, F=CmsDFMhuU, S=22, R=22,
< A=uux - -r $h!rmail ($u)
relay mailer 'smartuucp' (stolen from Sun's sendmail.cf)

THE RESULT:

Mail in our domain works fine, but if the relay has to be used
you see lines like:

st@bks.uucp... Connecting to unido via smartuucp...
No ! in UUCP! (st@stardiv.de)
st@foo.bar... Connecting to unido via smartuucp...
No ! in UUCP! (st@stardiv.de)

syslog:
Aug 19 14:23:17 starlab sendmail[2733]: \
	AA02733: SYSERR: No ! in UUCP! (st@stardiv.de)

My address should have the bang form (starlab!st).
I want the adress st@stardiv.de!

BTW: which utility is able to read this statistics
< OS/etc/sendmail/sendmail.st

software_version:
2.0
Warp6.4

hostinfo:
Mach kernel version:

Thanks for any help
