Ugh. Use /etc/disk. Anyone else know a fix or workaround? -- Robb Aley Allan, The Gulfstream Group 220 Sunrise Avenue, Palm Beach, FL 33480 voice: 407/ 832-4013 email: rallan@helical.com Co-founder/director, Gotham Users of NeXT (GUN)

Keying on some of the discussion earlier on the subject, I stopped autolaunching Apps until the problem disappeared. I discovered that my problem resulting from autolaunching AltDock. If I do not autolaunch this application, everything seems to work great. I can subsequently start AltDock and my operation is back to normal. For whatever it's worth.
