Hello A friend of mine just bought a Fijutsu disk. Its a Fijutsu M2624 FA 520MB, new. He experiences a lot of problems. He initialised the disk, loades it with the system and is able to see it, when he boots with his old disk(the 200mb quantum). But he cannot use it as a Bootdisk. What did he do wrong ( wrong scsi address? too many terminators?) Please, when you have a Fijutsu, help him on the way later SfR -- Stephan Fruhauf gonzo@opal.cs.tu-berlin.de what is X400? s=gonzo ou=opal p=tu-berlin a=dbp c=de

To set SCSI ID, use CNH7, jumpers 1-2, 3-4, 5-6 as follows ID 5-6 3-4 1-2 0 O O O 1 O O S 2 O S O 3 O S S (for 4-7, repeat the previous, but short 5-6 also.) key: O: pins open S: pins shorted To disable the internal termination, remove the gray part labeled RM85. This should work for fujitsu M242x scsi disks, i know it works for the 2624. as an aside fujitsu's tech support is good (at least here in the US). -- dan pritts consultant/system administrator dan.pritts@umich.edu um itd/css unix support group 313/998-6265
