Aliasing outgoing mail

I remember some time back someone posting a way to change outgoing "From:" lines in mail from a username to a full name alias - it involved some changes to the sendmail.cf file, I think. For example, normally when our user "roscoe" sends e-mail out to the net somewhere, his "From:" line looks like this:

	From: roscoe@afs.com

All our users have full-name aliases. In roscoe's case, it's Roscoe_Babar, i.e. you can send mail to Roscoe_Babar@afs.com and it winds up in roscoe's mailbox. We want our outgoing mail to have "From:" lines that use the full-name alias instead of the username:

	From: Roscoe_Babar@afs.com

Does anyone still have the posts on how to do that? Or know how even if you don't have the old posts?

Please e-mail directly to me.

Thanx,
Michael

In my opinion, the only way to do this cleanproperly is to use a correct (sorry
.. actual) SENDMAIL like IDA. Then, you can alias in and out. (ie: when I
write mail, the From field is transform to <MY_LOGIN> in Jean-Michel.Planche
..
The second interesting thing is that you can hide your machine name. It's very
useful with NeXT network when you use a common /usr/spool/mail.
