Can I patch uucico to do different size g proto?

It does 3/64. Can I make it do 7/128? (I'd rather not try something above 128
since BSD has 128 max hard coded in).
Thanks,

Try using Taylor UUCP1.03 - it comes with the complete source and with the taylor config files, you can tune every parameter without recompiling. -- Heiko W.Rupp Gerwigstr.5 7500 Kh'e 1 hwr@pilhuhn.ka.sub.org +49 721 693642 You mean you don't want to watch WRESTLING from ATLANTA?

Get beyond all those silly limits. Use Taylor UUCP. Ian Taylor is about to release a new version 1.04 which support a UUCP-i protocol (bidirectional, 16 packets in window size and a packetsize of 1K). You can also tell Taylor UUCP to use the g-protocol with a packetsize up to 4K and windowsize up to 7! And it's fast!!! I'm running a main HUP with 8 nodes below me, and all the transferrates was close to 3 times higer after we started to use Taylor UUCP! It is easy to configuere and easy to compile (if you change /usr/include back to what it should be) Tell me if you need more help, Karsten, -- Karsten Thygesen (karthy@dannug.dk) (NeXT-Mail welcome) Danish NeXT Users Group Phone: +45 98 12 42 59 Aalborg, Denmark.

Use TaylorUUCP. Does everything from 3/64 to 7/4096. Way better than
the ancient stuff NeXT ships.
Didn't you used to use Taylor??

Why don't you use Taylor-UUCP (from GNU sites) ? Much better than the simple NeXT-UUCP and can be configured everything you can imagine -- ------------------------------------------------------------------ Thomas Funke ** E-mail: thf@zelator.in-berlin.de NeXT-Developer * Unix-Consultant ------------------------------------------------------------------

It's a GNU package doing anything you can expect from a healthy uucp implementation. You should get version 1.03 or version 1.04 from gnu.ai.mit.edu. (The latter version is under beta testing but has more interesting features). Version 1.03 needs a patch to work with NextStep. You may want to subscribe to the taylor-uucp mailing list (taylor-uucp@gnu.ai.mit.edu) and ask for fresh news about it.
