I have tried this question on bit.listserv.wpwin-l but had no luck! The problem is with WordPerfect for Windows 6.0A. My installation of windows is such that it is run directly from the file server - users do not have their own set up. The windows directory is also write protected. This way everyone gets exactly the same view of windows everytime they log in. The problem is that WPWIN6.0A insists on writing a file called WPQC60OZ.DAT to the windows directory - normal users cannot do this and so when they try to run wordperfect it fails. Does anyone know what this file is used for, and how do I stop WP from writing it? Thanks, Simon Knee, Keble College, Oxford University. Simon.Knee@comlab.ox.ac.uk
