This message is to serve as a general warning about buying Palm products here in Asia and attempting to find service providers here in Thailand. I am writing this because of severe difficulties I have had with Palm-Asia, and the very significant expense I have incurred. I will in a later post recount all the events, including costly repeat calls to Singapore and the United States, all for nothing. But for right now, be warned that buying a palm is a very tricky business here, and you will not get real help from Palm Technical Support in Singapore if problems arise. My recommendation is DO NOT BUY A PALM IN SOUTHEAST ASIA. DO NOT EXPECT SERVICE FROM EITHER PALM HERE, OR IN THE UNITED STATES. Moreover, given what I have experienced, I strongly urge you to not buy a palm at all. They do not stand behind their product. They provide no meaningful help once you have purchased the machine. Try another brand.

Why do you have to make long distant calls to Singapore ? Actually you can call to the your local Palm's tol free number such as 1 800 656 298 On 10 Jul 2002 20:01:48 -0700, artshw@au.ac.th (shillary) wrote: >This message is to serve as a general warning about buying Palm >products here in Asia and attempting to find service providers here in >Thailand.
