MIPS, Alpha, and PPC code always take a backseat at MS. IMO, Apple has the skills to produce AWESOME PPC systems that can run any OS. All they have to do is swallow a little pride. If I had the option of buying a PPC system with all of the features of any Apple box (plug & play, dual SCSI, ethernet, large RAM ceilings, excellent graphics performance, etc...all integrated) that would run NT, Solaris, MacOS, Linux, etc., I would not even consider another vendor. In addition, Apple's systems would look alot better than you aver computer too! As it stands now, I use RISC workstations and PC's at work, and have an 8100/80 and P90 at home. The 8100/80 is my favorite system out of the lot. It is fast, hassle-free, runs cool software, and integrate into the internet and my company net with ease. WT wwtaylor@ix.netcom.com
