IBM is porting Rexx to Linux, and OpenDoc will be supported by Linux/Caldera as well. Oh, and don't forget SmartWare, which includes a Relational Database, a Spreadsheet with Presentation Graphics, a Word Processor and a Modem Communications module. More apps are on the way, as developers wake up to the fact that users are not doomed to "windoze everywhere" after all. Even without these apps, Linux makes a great X workstation for C code development, or industrial strength platform for internet server duties. -- Joe Sloan | http://dostoevsky.ucr.edu jjs@engr.ucr.edu | College of Engineering jjs@dostoevsky.ucr.edu | University of California ~
