I've had servers running for well over a year. I have personal accounts of
others having Mac servers running for 3-4 years. Of course now and then
you need to turn it off to replace the hard drive with a bigger one or
some such but I hardly think that would affect its reliability - the point
is that the machine was used consistently throughout that period and never
crashed.
