If it's too slow for a 9500/132, then it isn't worth it. One area I find Macs lacking is in TCP/IP tools. :( : They're really nice, but the Win utils are better. Yeah, but your choice is limited. If the PC can offer you a large selection of software, a decent OS, and good speed, who needs a Power Mac? For a home PC that is. : Back to the point, what Amiga tcp/ip GUI tools are out there? I haven't the slightest clue. : > Sounds more expensive, and less choice. Also less : >performance for the money your paying, unless you're running only Power apps. : It isn't cheap, but it's a really nice and elegant solution (the DOS : card) for running basic PC apps. It runs W95 nicely, too. Elegant? Maybe. Necessary? No. Pentium as a Home PC can easily do everything the Power Mac can, with more choices. And those of you who don't like the OS, to me the OS, is just a means to an end. It's just the thing you use to run your real programs. Windows NT, and Windows 95 are sufficient for my needs. They come close enough to the Mac OS. And they leave me with many more options. If you get a Dos Card, which runs at DX2/66, it's just admitting that you need x86 programs. You don't need both a Power Mac and a x86. Either one can fill the shoes of the other, the Pentium just does it better, IMHO. -Woodrow
