Please tell me what functionality do you mean?
MultiUser, Memory protection, virtual memory, the ability to switch the 
display to other terminals or workstations? 

Agreed, but that are functions a home user OS most likely do not need.

I have nothing against UNIX, with all it's abilities it's the OS I would 
prefer against all other PC OS's (unless there is AmigaOS available).

Besides, who treat you to have only one OS on your computer?
