Oh wow. You are a bit of an egomaniac, right? I mean, you quoted your 
complete text again, then reducing mine to the two lines above, leaving out
the elaborate explanation of WHY the source has to be available (so that
the user can take it to the nearest guru and get help, rather than phoning
the vendor and get a "Tough, isn't it?"), and then go on ranting about
someting which has absolutely no significance to the reason I gave.

Heck, I even included an analogy that went along the lines of your friend's
painter-comment....
