You would not see much change with 601s. the 603 is pretty close in
performance to the 601, and much easyer to design into the board.
Most of the responsiveness is in the BeOS and the extensive use of threading,
not in the hardware, which is (If I may say so...) unremarkable.

NT does not run on the BeBox. There is a Linux port underway.
