I will keep using it if I can do so for free and the alternatives
cost more money than I think they are worth. I can pay $30 a month
for the school's new dialup service or connect for free. If I
connect for free then I will rarely get a line faster than 2400 baud.
Since I go to school every day and can see all the nice graphics
there then I don't see the point in paying.

I meant how your Mac would resolve the URL in my situation. I
already know how it works in yours.

Perhaps you should get a faster net connection like a T3. It rarely
takes more than 5 seconds to load any page inside the US. I suppose
you like using inferior technology.

Duh, and my problem isn't because I wasn't using a Mac, it's because
I wasn't using any kind of graphical interface that would actually
be able to make some sense out of a mouse click.

No. You implied that I would somehow not be lazy if I were using
a Mac because it would be "easier" when in fact using a terminal
program in a Mac would have been just as "difficult."

For someone with a smiley in his name you sure never seem very happy.
