The only problem with this is that stock prices don't "measure" anything.
They are a measure of investor's _predictions_ of future earnings (among
other things).

Apple stock has been beaten down because there's too much FUD about how
they can't survive. Looking at their actual financials, it's clear that
they're in solid shape. That's not to say that streamlining isn't
necessary because it it. But it's not a life or death matter.
