Hah!  I've had various incarnations of SunOS/Solaris die on me many
times.  Probably at least 10 times over the last 3 or 4 years.  True,
that's not really all that much, but it does happen.  None of the
operating systems I've used more than casually has ever been immune to
crashes.

Note that this is not even counting the instances where I've had X go
belly up.  True, the OS itself didn't totally come down, but it almost had
the same effect.

Sounds like you're not pounding on your OS's hard enough. . . ;-)
