The Financial Post is hardly a small publication, nor is the
original poster its only subscriber. When one of the "mainstream"
media outlets does publish this story (let's pick "Time" magazine),
you will no doubt discount it as more hype, that "Time" isn't
qualified to comment on technological matters, and that it is simply
jumping on the MS-bashing bandwagon.

    This is what I read:

| Motorola Canada Ltd. has issued a stern warning to its employees
| to stop testing Microsoft Corp's. new software system Windows 95.

I interpreted this as employees of Motorola installing and running
pre-release versions of Windows 95 on their personal workstations at
the company. I don't not see any implication that this was in any way
an official beta test cycle at Motorola. I can't comment on
Motorola's internal policies regarding the administration and
maintenance of individual workstations, but LAN managers may have the
authority to install OS's for the use of a select number of employees.
