Ben,

Thanks for the response.  You can scand simple 2D images and extrude 
them into 3D object.  If your friend develops the program that can have 
2D scanned image into 3D object automatically it will save a lot of time 
doing 3D modeling.  Hope he comes out with the final product.  Keep up 
the good work!
