Unfortunately, pc users rule the roost in our department. We are therefore
going to buy a slide maker that is to be driven by a pc. We have been
investigating the poloroid ci 5000 with mixed results. Part
of the problem may be image file formats. I have been converting the files
first to gif files, and then capturing them. The software we have doesn't seem
to offer any other image formats except for the standard eps, hpgl etc.

1) Can anyone recommend a procedure or system (hardware + software)
that can be used to make slides on a pc from sgi images?

2) If we had to do it right, that is with a machine hooked directly to
the sgi, what is available in the lower price range?

 thanks for your help!
