I am trying to find out if we should upgrade our machines with a Z-buffer. Can anyone fill me in on the obvious advantages (other than being able to run several of the Demos :-). While we do mostly number crunching, we do a fair amount of graphical work in our analysis. What (examples) will it speed up? Also, what about cost? (My SGI Rep is away on Vacation) Thanks! -- Jerry Fountain Northwestern University | gof@bart.chem-eng.nwu.edu Department of Chemical Engineering | (708) 491-3555 (Office) 2145 Sheridan Road, Evanston, IL 60208 | (708) 491-3728 (FAX)
