| 1.	Will a Sun compatible Tape 1/4" (150) drive work on

Almost certainly.

| 2.	Will a Sun, Apple, NeXT CDROM drive work on an SGI?

The Sun drives will work on Indigos, at least for most people (not
all) for normal use, and for some people, for software installation.

The Apple brand drives are hopeless, they violate the scsi spec
too much. The NeXT drives might work for filesystem stuff; and
possibly s/w installs on the r4k Indigo, but not installs on other
systems.

| 3.	If they do work will they be able to read the SGI
| specific inst format?

Yes, as long as they are on an SGI system.
