I think it's great that SGI has folks answering questions and actively
encourages their participation. I have been impressed by the fact that
messages even occasionally come from various vice presidents. I would
hope that this continues in the future. It contributes nicely to the
quality of the discussions.

I must say that my experience with the hotline has been practically
nil recently. Previous experience did however show a high level of
competence but the return time for calls was usually a day and was
starting to deteriorate to more than 2 days. We have on site field
service and they are quite knowledgable. Even better, they usually know
who to contact at SGI if they can't get something straight on their own.
However, since they still have to deal with the hotline, I occasionally
hear their grumblings about the hotline.
