     In a word, NO!  It would NOT be better.  Keep dps_dev in IDO.  Keep DPS
as part of the normal/standard system.  Do NOT put dps_dev or DPS in the Laser
Printer Support package.  I have a VERY hard time trying to justify buying LPS.
With IRIX 4.0.X, SGI is suppose to be shipping a utility to convert regular
text to PostScript (I can't remember the name of the utility at the momemnt),
and LPS is essentialy just Transcript, I really can't see the need for LPS.
However, I DO see the need for DPS.  It would be nice if DWB was part of the
normal/standard system and not an added cost.  It would be great if the people
in California would make things more clear as to what comes with the standard
system and what comes with each package.  Even our sales reps. have problems
with this because they get conflicting information from California.
