And when it works - it works stable. But when whatever is happening happens [usually late at night] ... the Westel modem does not reconnect automatically. Cust Support just told me that IE must have a homepage entered - even if it is not open ie., that setting [ blank ] was the cause of all my problems. I explained that computers don't really need to browse the net using IE to need connectivity. She seemed confused. It is my understanding that the Westel 2100 v. 1.05.04 modem doesn't really need a computer [once ID and p/w have been entered] - ie - that simply powering it up to an ADSL provisioned line gets it connected and ready for a computer. -- Allen Barnett Lawrenceville, Georgia
