I'm getting ready to start interfacing a DBMS system I wrote in FoxPro
to PageMaker.  The database holds fields that go into a reference
manual.  The fields right now just have typesetting codes (pretty basic
codes except for the codes to specify a table (2-9 columns wide, and a
few other options)).  Right now we just send it off to our publisher but
we now want to do it in house (combination of big problems with
publishers service (or non-service) and a desire to have more control
in-house).

I can export the data from my database in any form, and even do
processing to change the codes to other things, add carriage returns and
tabs in places, etc.  

Has anyone done on the net done anything similar before?  We have one
program that will work so far, the ElseWare DataShaper filter for
PageMaker, but are having problems because every entry in our manual is
not the same (there are some entries that have all information, some are
only cross references to other entries and have limited information).

Any help would be appreciated (especially product/company names)...
