My Dad is looking into buying a desktop publishing system for a small
non-profit organization that does a lot of BROCHURES and NEWSLETTERS
(not likely to need to do a book). The users will all be non-hackers.

He would like to know about your experience with any relevant
software, especially VENTURA and PAGEMAKER. How appropriate are these
for his task? Buggy? Documented well? Can a lower end mac handle it?

Please respond to suthers+@pitt.edu. I can summarize to the net if
anyone asks me to.

(He is also considering an IBM setup which I am trying to talk him out
of.)
