Precisely (modulo spelling) the wrong way round! A club line is the first
line of a paragraph appearing by itself at the bottom of a page; a widow
line is the last line of a paragraph appearing by itself at the top of a
page. This is the nomenclature behind TeX's \clubpenalty and \widowpenalty,
at any rate. Some sources refer to both kinds as widow lines, and some
would only consider them a problem over an odd->even page boundary.
