Hi!, I was wondering whether somebody might be able to help me out with the generated of ticks and crosses that I would like to use within a table. I have searched CTAN and could only find symbols which related to maths, physics and the other sciences. I know that I have seen the ticks and crosses generated before, but I just can't remember how it is done. I know that a \surd looks very close to a "tick" but I was wondering whether anybody knew of a package which could generate a proper tick and a proper cross. Thanks in advance for any pointers received. $\checkmark$ will get you a tick.
Or if you are using PostScript, use the Pifont package, \ding{51} gives you
a tick, \ding{55} gives you a cross (see Companion 335--36).
Kris.
