Thanks to those who told me how to know when a window was iconified.
I am trying to get a function that the openlook window manager gives me
for free---one icon for a group of windows when the windows are transient
windows. Unfortunately other window managers decorate transients so they
cannot be resized or moved so I have to use toplevelwindows. Now I am
stuck with a bunch of irrelevant icons.
Notifying when the main window is iconified was the first step and now
my problem is localized to (in pseudocode)
void PWMImpl::iconify_all() {
for w = all windows in my application {
if (w == main window) {
w->iconify();
}else{
what do I do? unmap and unbind destroy too much.
making main the group leader earlier when the
windows were first created seems
to have no effect.
}
}
}
void PWMImpl::deiconify_all() {
for w = all windows in my application {
if (w == main window) {
w->deiconify();
}else{
what do I do?
}
}
}
