A friend of mine is running a P233 with Win98 and American Megatrends BIOS. Whenever the pc is hard booted, it recognizes the HDD, CD, etc, then says 'CMOS Checksum Error - Press F1 to Continue' . Once booted up it seems to work fine, except that the date has to be reset. Can anybody suggest a reason for this annoying little fault? BTW.. the CMOS battery has been replaced. -- Gary Purvis <gary@saints1.demon.co.uk>
