I have a multiline edit control in which the user can enter data.  When this
mode ends, I want to use ShowWindow() to hide the multiline edit and display
a large bitmap in the same general area.

The problem I'm having is that my bitmap is being displayed and then it looks
like a big rectangle is cut into it where the multiline edit was.  It appears
as though the WM_PAINT message is getting processed and then some message
dealing with clearing the area where the mulitline edit was is getting
processed after that point.  I can't seen to be able to get the WM_PAINT of the
bitmap to happen last.

Anybody have any suggestions?
