OLE 2.0 and file transfer

Is the doc on OLE 2.0 available? Where can I ftp it?

I think the OLE technology is great, but how would you transfer(or even a
simple copy in DOS) a compound document? If the contents of the embedded
objects are incorporated in the document(one of the render options for
OLE objects), it may be easy. Otherwise, it seems that the communication
programs must know the format/links of the compound document. In addition
to the compound document itself, the program must find and transfer all
the linked objects.

Is there an easier way to solve this?
