I wouldn't consider anything less than a 386/33 for playing Wing Commander or Ultima Underworld, and Origin does not write for Macs. Many of the new games require a 386 and lots of disk space. Wing Commander II takes up 20 megs. Sound boards like the Sounblaster are quite cheap and common. However, I tend to use my PC for serious work most of the time (dialing into work, word processing, and programming). ------------ Bailey Brown "Above all else, confusion reigns."
